Parenting
Your Teenager by Dr. Les & Dr. Leslie Parrott
Identity questions.
Emotional turmoil. Rebellion. Welcome to the teenager’s world. And if
you’re their parent, you’re already in that mix. It’s a tough job, you
know, and you’ve got to do it. Nowadays, you have to play counselor,
cop, and crisis manager all rolled into one. Good parenting means using
your head, your heart, and your faith. "Parenting Your Teenager"
equips moms and dads to recognize common patterns, plan effective
strategies, and build character. This class is meeting at the Turning
Point.
Galatians
by John MacArthur
An urgent letter to the early
churches in Asia Minor, Galatians expresses Paul's concern for the
spiritual welfare of the early believers. The central doctrine of
Christianity was being undermined and confusion was growing as false
teachers began to teach that faith in Christ was not enough for
salvation. In an earnest a book that would encourage hundreds of
generations of Christians to remain steadfast in their faith. While
contrasting grace and law, faith and works, Paul defends the theological
and practical implications of Christianity and encourages believers -
then and now - to live a holy life that bears much fruit. The Galatians
class is meeting in the basement of the church.
Wish you had deeper friendships with
other believers?

changing, yet certain life issues remain the same--our need for work and
discipline, for perspective in good and bad times, the ability to think
through our words and actions, and the practice of moral character with
integrity, wisdom, and kindness. The sayings collected in the book of
Proverbs gave practical handles to these matters thousands of years ago,
and their wisdom is as refreshing and helpful today as ever. Please

The Men's Bible Study
is taking a break this summer. They will resume meeting on September 20 at church on Saturday Mornings at 8 a.m., and all guys are welcome. We meet to read and discuss
"Truth Wars" by John MacArthur. Right now, Truth is under attack, and
much is at stake. In a postmodern culture, Christians are caught in the
crossfire of alternative Christian histories, emerging faulty texts, and
a cultural push to eliminate absolute Truth altogether. As a result,
many churches and Christians have been deceived. Worse still, they
propagate the deception that poses itself as Truth! In The Truth War,
John MacArthur reclaims the unwavering certainty of God's Truth and
anchors Christians in the eternal, immovable promises found in His Word. For more information, contact
Doug Stegeman at 398-3511.
Princeton Area Small Group People living around Princeton are
invited to gather at Chuck & Geri Hall’s in their home at W5370 Bend
Road (Approximately 3 miles south of Princeton) for a time of fellowship
and supporting one another in spiritual growth. We will be discussing
and studying Sunday’s sermons in greater detail and their application to
our lives. The group will once again meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays
from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Please call the Chuck or Geri at 920-295-0150 with
any questions or for additional information.
The
Sunday Night Small Group meets at church on the first and third
Sunday of each month at 7:00 p.m. beginning September 21st. Please
consider joining us this fall as we look at the book of Psalms by going
through “Heart to Heart with God” by Walter C Kaiser Jr. The Psalms are
the Bible’s book of music-without-notes whose “lyrics” portray the
greatness of God. Ranging the spectrum of human experience and emotion,
the Psalms acclaim God’s majesty and righteousness and reveal his
everlasting love for his people. Your heart will feel the psalmists’
passion— and your prayer and worship life will deepen as Israel’s sacred
songbook brings you “Heart to Heart with God.”. For more info contact
Doug and Molly Stegeman at 920-398-3511 or

Women's
Tuesday Bible Study Many of us yearn for balance in our lives. As
Christians we aren't just balancing our household schedules with work,
diet, rest, and exercise, we must also consider the spiritual balance of
our lives. How are we handling the balance between faith and sight,
between love and obedience, between longing and contentment? Only God
can guide us toward the balance we desire, and it starts with our
hearts. "Living a Life of Balance," a Women of Faith study, will help us
get there. Join us starting September 30th at 1 p.m. We'll be meeting at
Sharon Beacom's house 609 Radio Road, Ripon. The study guide costs $10.
For more information, please contact Glenda Bartz 920-748-2566 or Sharon
Beacom 920-748-3952.
